Greenway Best of the Industry: Greenlight, Best Dispensary
Greenlight has become Missouri’s biggest medical marijuana brand, with 16 dispensaries, cultivation, and manufacturing operations all hoisting the Greenlight banner. That reach and branding resonated with voters in Greenway’s best of the Industry voting. With wins for Best Facility Design: Dispensary, Best Dispensary, and Best Budtender, Jennifer Lane – Greenlight dominated the retail categories.
Greenway spoke to Greenlight CEO John Mueller about the company’s success so far and what to expect in the future.
Greenlight won for Best Facility Design: Dispensary, Best Dispensary, and Best Budtender; what makes Greenlight’s retail so successful? We are very appreciative of being nominated for the awards; Our Greenlight family of staff and patients is the key to our success. From our Founders Club members to our new patients we see each week, we are blessed to have built a strong, loyal following in a very short period of time.
What about your Greenlight differentiates it from others in Missouri, and generally speaking? Greenlight believes in Cannabis with Culture. Our team’s mission is to connect with patients on a personal level in an extremely comfortable environment. We attempt to break down the last of the fading stigmas while we move patients from synthetic pills to an all-natural solution.
How do you intend to stay competitive as the Missouri market continues to grow? Our primary focus is and always will be our patients. We will continue to be the number one advocate for low cost medical evaluations to expand the patient network, while striving to be the number one provider in variety of products.
Can you tell me about some of the employees or leadership that help push your success? Greenlight is happy to employ over 300 team members today and each one brings a different energy, life experience or skill to their job every day. Given Jennifer Lane won the Best Budtender out of approximately 2,000 in the state of Missouri, she really highlights her own great personality but also embodies the culture we are building.
Can you tell me about the company’s community involvement? Greenlight believes in locally supporting our communities with programs such as Appetite for Humanity where we have given out over 2,400 meals and PPE to those in need and JoAnn’s Healing Hands to offer free covid testing. Furthermore, we are proud of sponsoring over 8,500 free medical evaluations and another 4,000+ at $49.
What were some of the biggest highlights or successes for Greenlight in 2021? Greenlight is very proud to have served over 53,000 patients in Missouri and given careers to over 300 team members. We are humble by the fact that we were able to build an amazing team, expand our footprint, but never lose sight of one thing, that patient care is all that matters.
What plans are on the horizon for Greenlight? Greenlight will be expanding our successful, patient driven “Underground” Marijuana Farmers Market, into St. Louis and Joplin in the coming months. The Company is also expanding around the country with 9 additional dispensaries scheduled to open in other states in the first half of 2022.
