Missouri marijuana sales top $770 million through June
Missouri marijuana sales remain ahead of last year’s pace through the first half of 2026, with the state reporting $770.86 million in combined retail sales through June.
As of the end of the month, cumulative marijuana sales in Missouri had reached $5.692 billion in total.
For the month of June, sales totaled $129.64 million, including $119.68 million in adult-use marijuana sales and $9.96 million in medical marijuana sales.
While the total decreased from May’s $135.07 million, the strongest month in Missouri marijuana sales history, but remained above June totals from 2023, 2024, and 2025, showcasing a sustained trend of year over year growth.
With 30 days in the month, Missouri marijuana sales averaged $4.32 million per day in June. Adult-use sales averaged nearly $3.99 million per day, while medical marijuana sales averaged approximately $332,000 per day.
June’s daily average was nearly identical to April’s pace and trailed only May among 2026 monthly daily averages. May averaged $4.36 million per day, while April averaged $4.32 million per day.
June 2026 sales were up $4.56 million, or 3.65%, compared to June 2025, when Missouri reported $125.08 million in total marijuana sales.

Through the first six months of 2026, Missouri marijuana sales totaled $770.86 million, including $702.14 million in adult-use sales and $68.72 million in medical marijuana sales.
That year-to-date total is the highest through June in the data provided. From January through June 2025, Missouri reported $753.76 million in total marijuana sales. The 2026 total is up $17.10 million, or 2.27%, from the same period last year.

Year-to-date sales have increased each year since adult-use sales began in 2023.
Through June, Missouri marijuana sales rose from $629.30 million in 2023 to $711.15 million in 2024, an increase of $81.85 million, or 13.01%. Sales increased again in 2025, reaching $753.76 million through June, up $42.61 million, or 5.99%. This year, sales through June reached $770.86 million, up $17.10 million, or 2.27%, from the first six months of 2025.
The year-to-date numbers show continued market growth, but at a slower pace than earlier in the adult-use program.
On a daily basis, Missouri dispensaries averaged approximately $4.26 million in combined marijuana sales during the first half of 2026. That compares to approximately $4.16 million per day during the first half of 2025.

The second quarter also outpaced the first quarter. Missouri recorded $376.55 million in combined marijuana sales from January through March and $394.31 million from April through June, an increase of $17.76 million, or 4.72%.
Adult-use sales rose from $339.75 million in the first quarter to $362.39 million in the second quarter. Medical sales moved in the opposite direction, falling from $36.80 million in the first quarter to $31.92 million in the second quarter.
Adult-use sales remain the primary driver of the Missouri market, accounting for 91.08% of total marijuana sales through June.
Medical marijuana sales continue to represent a shrinking share of overall sales. In June 2023, medical marijuana sales totaled $26 million. By June 2024, that number had fallen to $14.64 million. In June of last year, medical sales were $14.45 million. This year, medical sales have dropped below $10 million, landing at $9.96 million, the lowest monthly total for medical sales since April 2021.
Based on the first-half daily average, the annualized pace would see the state bring in approximately $1.55 billion in sales at retail.
Either pace would keep Missouri ahead of 2025, when the state recorded $1.517 billion in annual marijuana sales.
June’s results show Missouri’s marijuana market continuing to expand, even as growth moderates and medical marijuana sales continue to decline.
