NatureMed and Franklin’s partner to host World Cup watch party in Kansas City
As Kansas City welcomes World Cup fans from around the globe, NatureMed and Franklin’s are creating a cannabis-friendly space for adults to watch the Ecuador vs. Curaçao match and connect with Missouri cannabis brands.
The two cannabis companies will partner to welcome cannabis consumers and the canna curious to “Toke Around the World Cup” this Saturday, June 20.
The event will see Franklin’s, NatureMed, and hundreds of fans celebrate the day.
While the Ecuador vs. Curaçao match is set for 7 p.m. at GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium, the party starts at 6 pm. The watch party will feature a live outdoor screening of the match in a consumption-friendly environment. Guests will have access to a large outdoor viewing area, yard games, a BYO-chair section, infused beverages, and food available for purchase from local vendors.
For NatureMed, the event is both a World Cup celebration and an opportunity to introduce visitors to Missouri’s legal cannabis market.
“The NatureMed team is excited to welcome World Cup fans from across the world. We are expecting increased traffic from visitors who may be having their first experience with recreational cannabis,” said Myles Mayfield, marketing director at NatureMed. “Our focus is on providing education, answering questions, and helping people feel comfortable throughout the process.”
Mayfield said the event aligns with NatureMed’s broader mission to be a resource for cannabis education, especially as Kansas City sees increased tourism tied to the World Cup.
“NatureMed’s mission is to be the source of all things cannabis, and we’re eager to share that knowledge with those visiting for the World Cup,” Mayfield said. “From a business perspective, we anticipate an increase in first-time guests and out-of-market visitors as Kansas City welcomes a global audience. Events of this scale create a unique opportunity to introduce new consumers to the legal cannabis market while showcasing the customer experience and product education that set Missouri’s industry apart.”
The event also highlights how Missouri cannabis companies are positioning around one of the largest sporting events ever hosted in Kansas City.
World Cup matches are expected to bring a wave of domestic and international visitors to the region, creating new opportunities for local hospitality, retail, food, beverage, and cannabis businesses.
Participating cannabis brands include Teal, DialedIn, Farmer G, Robust, and Proper. Food will be available for purchase from Urban – Vine Street Chicken and Jadabay’s Taste Kitchen.
Attendees can register for free general admission or upgrade to a VIP experience for $20. VIP guests will receive fast-lane entry, a curated goodie bag, access to Franklin’s infused bar, reserved seating directly in front of the big screen, exclusive raffle opportunities, and an additional NatureMed coupon.
The event is open to adults 21 and older. Wristbands are required upon entry, and all guests must present a valid government-issued ID.
The Toke Around the World Cup Watch Party will be held from 6 to 10 p.m. this Saturday, June 20, at 2000 Vine, 2000 Vine Street, Kansas City, Missouri.
Tickets are available through EventHi.
