Missouri dispensaries see most successful sales month by day in April
April marked the state’s strongest April sales total since adult-use marijuana sales began
Missouri marijuana sales reached $129.60 million in April 2026, making April the state’s most successful month on a daily sales average basis in history.
The April total included $118.47 million in adult-use marijuana sales and $11.13 million in medical marijuana sales.
April 2026 sales were up $3.72 million, or 2.96%, compared to April 2025, when Missouri reported $125.88 million in total marijuana sales. Adult-use sales increased from $111.10 million in April 2025 to $118.47 million in April 2026, a gain of $7.37 million, or 6.63%.
Medical marijuana sales moved in the opposite direction. Medical sales declined from $14.78 million in April 2025 to $11.13 million in April 2026, a decrease of $3.65 million, or 24.70%.
On a daily average basis, April 2026 generated $4.32 million in sales per day, the highest average in program history.
On a total sales basis, April followed the familiar March-to-April decline seen in each year of Missouri’s adult-use market. But on a daily sales basis, April 2026 set a new benchmark for the state.
That compares to $4.20 million per day in April 2025, $4.00 million per day in April 2024, and $4.04 million per day in April 2023.
Missouri marijuana retailers averaged $4.16 million in combined sales per day through the first 120 days of 2026.

Through the first four months of 2026, Missouri marijuana sales totaled $506.15 million, including $458.22 million in adult-use sales and $47.93 million in medical sales. That total is up $10.28 million, or 2.07%, from the $495.87 million reported during the first four months of 2025.
Adult-use sales continued to grow year over year. From January through April, adult-use sales increased $20.73 million, or 4.74%, compared to the same period in 2025, when adult-use sales totaled $437.49 million.
Medical marijuana sales declined over the same period. Missouri medical marijuana sales totaled $47.93 million through April 2026, down from $58.38 million through April 2025, a decrease of $10.45 million, or 17.90%.
April sales were slightly below March, when Missouri reported $131.09 million in total marijuana sales. Month over month, total sales declined $1.49 million, or 1.14%.
