Local Cannabis Company works with DCR to resolve vape product recall tied to testing requirements
The company says affected live resin and live rosin vape products are being replaced with newly compliant, fully tested inventory
Missouri’s Division of Cannabis Regulation issued a recall Wednesday for certain Local Cannabis Company live resin and live rosin vape products produced by CPC of Missouri-Smithville, LLC, MAN000016, after determining that the products were not tested in accordance with final form testing requirements for THC concentrates processed into vape cartridges.
The recalled products include Local live resin and live rosin cartridges and all-in-one vapes. The full list of recalled products is available here.
“Local Cannabis Co. is actively working with the DCR to address an administrative hold impacting certain vape products related to evolving testing requirements for final form administration,” said Tyler Pugh, COO of Calyx Peak and Local Cannabis Company. “This matter is not related to the quality or safety of our products.”

DCR said in their notice that the recall was issued in partnership with CPC of Missouri-Smithville.
According to the agency’s release, the recalled products were sampled and tested before the THC concentrates were processed into vape cartridges.
No adverse reactions had been reported to DCR at the time the recall was announced.
For operators, the distinction between concentrate testing and post-processing vape cartridge testing is central to the issue identified.
Pugh said it is working to replace inventory.
“We are proactively coordinating with our retail partners to replace affected inventory with newly compliant, fully tested products as quickly as possible,” he continued. “We appreciate the partnership and patience of our customers and retail partners as we work through the resolution process.”
