Company behind THC-Infused Red Hot Riplets opens STL dispensary
Blue Sage Cannabis Deli is set to open its third dispensary location and first in St. Louis
One of Missouri’s largest cannabis companies is opening its first dispensary in St. Louis. Blue Sage Cannabis Deli, operated by parent company Show-Me Organics, will open near the Southwest corner of Forest Park between Hi-Pointe Drive-In and Hi-Pointe Theater.
The Grand Opening on Friday, 2/23 will be one of the last times customers can get their hands on the popular Missouri’s Own Red Hot Riplets, which produced by Show-Me Organics, because new state regulation that goes into effect in May prohibits companies from selling THC-infused versions of any similarly branded products sold without THC. Commemorative posters of the Red Hot Riplets collaboration by St. Louis artists Brock Seals and Jayvn Solomon will be given away to customers.
The St. Louis expansion comes a month after the opening of Blue Sage’s purpose-built Cannabis Deli—which references the dispensary’s practice of weighing and packaging cannabis flower out onsite, known as deli-style. The Carthage location reinforces the brand’s positioning as the “cannabis deli” with architecture and an interior design befitting of an old deli along Route 66.
The company anticipates further expansion in Missouri throughout 2024, with a new location in Kansas City coming soon.

Show-Me Organics takes over operations of Hi-Pointe dispensary as part of a management agreement with St. Louis Cannabis Company (SLCC). The agreement also includes management of SLCC’s manufacturing facility which will continue to operate Lushs Labs, and a cultivation license—which is yet to be commenced. The deal helps SLCC retain majority ownership of its licenses while rapidly scaling its operations, and is buoyed by a supply agreement with Vivid.
“This deal works for both parties because we have complementary operations, teams and licenses,” said Dickerson. “There is a huge opportunity to add value to both businesses as we lend operational expertise to production and retail, and a supply agreement for our wholesale products which we know can help drive traffic into stores.”
