Cannabis Accessory Leader Launches Eco-Conscious Packaging Using 64% Less Plastic
Moose Labs, a product innovation company for the cannabis industry is continuing its journey towards a more sustainable future by removing 64% of the plastic found in the Original MouthPeace packaging.
Instead of the traditional plastic clamshell packaging, the MouthPeace will now come in a biodegradable and fully recyclable container. The refreshed packaging is also more user-friendly, including clear instructions on how to use and clean the MouthPeace.
“There’s already far too much plastic waste involved in the cannabis industry, so we are doing what we can to avoid contributing to this issue while also encouraging clean consumption habits,” said Jay Rush, Co-Founder of Moose Labs. “Eventually, we’d love to remove all plastic from our packaging, but for now we are taking this one step at a time and we hope other cannabis brands follow suit,” added Rush.
Removing the majority of its plastic packaging is only one step Moose Labs has taken this year to become more sustainable. All MouthPeace Filter rolls have come in 100% plastic-free packaging since launching in 2019, but since frequent smokers tend to go through several Filters a month, Moose Labs wanted to offer an even better option for eco-conscious cannabis consumers to protect their lungs and the planet. On Earth Day, the Company introduced natural Corn Fiber MouthPeace Filters that are biodegradable and compostable. While the original Filter’s fibers are a non-woven design with a layer of activated carbon, the new eco-friendly version leverages natural corn-fiber filtration to remove resin, tar and contaminants from every inhale. Corn fiber is derived from naturally occurring plant sugars and is fully eco-compatible.
The MouthPeace is the first physician-backed, germ-preventing accessory designed to fit joints, glass pipes, vape pens, and e-cigarettes for a cleaner smoke circle among friends.
