Hari Om Hemp: Most Creative CBD Company of 2019
Hari Om Hemp is a CBD company created by Leigh Carr, a registered nurse in the Kansas City area who is passionate about providing patients safe and effective relief from their chronic pain, mental health issues, and more – all while staying committed to using only the highest quality, organic ingredients that are never tested on animals.
Hari Om Hemp was voted by Greenway readers as one of Missouri’s Best CBD Companies, being recognized as Most Creative. We spoke with their team to learn more about what sets Hari Om Hemp apart from other CBD companies across the state.
Carr struggled with pharmaceuticals for years, leading her to little relief and eventually an opioid addiction that pushed her to begin researching alternative and holistic therapies. After using CBD for just three months, she was able to “exit the pharmacy turnstile” and became determined to share her newfound clarity, energy, and knowledge about the medicinal benefits of CBD with others.
Not long after, Carr suspected that her young son with ADHD and a sensory processing disorder could benefit from CBD as well, but discovered that it was difficult to find effective, high-quality products that they could trust to be safe for her child. After months of research and product testing, Carr launched Hari Om Hemp with her husband, Dustin Carr, sourcing full-spectrum CBD oil from cannabis flower grown on an organic farm in Oregon. Just three days into giving it to her now-kindergartner, Carr noticed his stress level begin to drop without the negative side effects associated with commonly prescribed medications.

“We strive to provide the highest quality and safe products possible,” Carr said. “Hari Om Hemp has direct relations with an organic farm in Oregon whom we source all our Full Spectrum Hemp Extract Oil. Because of this relationship, we are able to track back to the farm that our hemp is sourced from, unlike many other companies that are out there.”
Hari Om Hemp has become known as the CBD company with amazing bath bombs and roll-ons. The Carr’s products include a line of “chakra-balancing” blends of essential oils for a full line of bath bombs. The roll-ons are available in Heavenly Hemp (crown chakra) and Helping Hand (throat chakra) blends. Both product lines blend CBD oil with essential oils for an incredible topical and aromatherapeutic impact. Of course, their oils, salves, and other products are popular and all are available for sale in select stores and online.
“The farm from which we source our phytocannabinoid-rich hemp oil does have USDA Organic certification and does use organic cultivation processes.” But their commitment to quality extends beyond just their hemp. “We only mix our oil with Organic MCT oil, and never have any fillers or other additives for flavoring. As we say, ‘Always Natural, Never Synthetic’,” Carr said.

When we asked how they plan to stay competitive with medical marijuana coming to Missouri, Hari Om Hemp was confident in the need for every type of cannabinoid profile.
“We feel like that with the legalization of medical cannabis it still does not negate, nor fully replace the value of not just CBD but other phytocannabinoids as well,” Carr said. “We hope to stay competitive by developing and coming up with products that have been created by medical professionals who understand the value and uniqueness of not just CBD, but all the cannabinoids, and the value and properties each one contains to help people get the exact type of relief they are seeking.
“We feel there is definitely a place for medical cannabis with higher amounts of THC, but as every individual has their own unique Endocannabinoid System, commonly found strands will not provide the same relief or experience to every individual. What works for one person may give a totally different or even bad experience to another person, so it is all about balancing and finding the right cannabinoid and terpene profile specific to each individual in order to get them the relief they are seeking, some of the cannabinoid and terpene profiles for some people may still be better suited to come from hemp.”
