Looking ahead to the 2019 CIM St. Louis Summit and Expo

Jen Wynn, Vice President of Expositions at Cannabis Industrial Marketplace, spent the afternoon telling Greenway about the 2019 Cannabis Industrial Marketplace St. Louis Summit and Expo coming up next week.

MO Cannabis Summit & Expo, which will take place July 23 and 24 in Collinsville, Ill. at the Gateway Center, is packed full of exhibitors and information. The event is taking place right across the river in Collinsville.

“We had trouble being able to get a facility that was large enough for our exhibitors and the expected attendees during the time slot that we wanted in St. Louis, so we shifted across the river,” Wynn explained.

The shift may result in unexpected perks, as the change puts the expo smack in the middle of a current medical market state currently transitioning to adult use while targeting a state on the cusp of launching facility applications and beginning licensing for medical businesses.

“There’s a lot of crossover between St. Louis and Southwest Illinois to begin with,” Wynn says, “but being able to bring businesses and investors from a new market together with experienced businesses, vendors, contractors, and professionals is a really exciting experience.”

“Our expos are designed to focus on the business side of the emerging cannabis industry. Our goal is to help connect buyers and sellers in any aspect of the business, while providing education to entrepreneur preparing to enter this market. To shift focus from the everyday hobbyist, we chose to plan our events on weekdays to align with our model, the business of cannabis,” Wynn says.

“We get exhibitors from all over the country, from legal market experts to people in adjacent businesses that have the expertise to build or renovate whatever a new business might need.”

While patient education may not be the focus, the 2019 Cannabis Industrial Marketplace St. Louis Summit and Expo looks to be a valuable learning resource for industry professionals and aspiring applicants headed into the final weeks before facility applications open.

Featuring a keynote speech covering Missouri Cannabis Regulations and Compliance on July 24th from Andrea Balkenbush, Facility Licensing and Compliance Director with the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services, and a litany of other speakers discussing every aspect of the cannabis industry from packaging to marketing, compliance to construction, the St. Louis Summit and Expo aims to provide industry professionals with more than networking.

Tickets are available for purchase online. As of publication, attendees are still able to use promo code “MOFlashSale” to save 30% on ticket purchases.

Wynn says there are a few final available booth rentals for vendors and businesses interested in exhibiting.
