South County welcomes new medical marijuana dispensary

The first of three St. Louis-area locations of the Kind Goods medical cannabis dispensary is now open in South County.

The Fenton location at 180 Gravois Bluffs Circle launched in early May and will be followed this summer with store openings in Manchester and St. Peter’s. Store hours are 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily. More information, including directions to the store, can be found at www.thekindgoods.com.

More than 100,000 Missouri patients have been approved as medical marijuana cardholders by the state Department of Health and Senior Services. Medical cannabis sales in Missouri include an additional 4% sales tax, with the proceeds dedicated toward veterans’ health and care services. 

   

The department has licensed 349 facilities across the state to cultivate, manufacture, test and dispense medical marijuana safely to Missouri patients. The medical marijuana program, which was approved by 66% of Missouri voters on the November 2018 ballot, has already generated nearly $45 million in sales since late 2020.
