Puff or Pass: Reviewing Tronian wax and flower pens, the Gammatron and Milatron
We get lots of requests for product reviews and over the past couple of years, we’ve tested several different types of products and some categories have more gadgets coming out every day. Two such categories are dry herb vapes and concentrate pens – the number of products out there are growing rapidly and we got some new devices to test from the folks at Tronian.
The Gammatron and the Milatron have been in our hands for several weeks and we’ve reviewed both.
We’ll start with the Gammatron, which is the first wax pen available from Tronian. The Tronian Gammatron is a wax pen built for convenience and durability with some thoughtful extras. The design of the pen is sturdy and feels substantial, and while it’s not the only wax pen we’ve tested, it’s certainly one we were pleased with after getting it in our hands. When we talk about thoughtful extras, the Gammatron is chock full – the device features a wax container to carry your concentrates on the go and a cool tool built into the mouthpiece that serves as the delivery device inside the pen. These added features allow users to travel easily without thinking of extra accessories or storage compartments. This wax pen is built to last, and according to the website, its PVD coating adds an extra scratch-resistant layer to its exterior. More than a marketing tactic, the durability of the exterior is exactly as described. The heating element is a Kanthal heating element, which doesn’t mean much to the uninitiated in terms of name, but truly delivers on the usability. Coming in at a price point that makes it accessible and with its functionality, the $109.99 is a definite Puff for us.
For those who prefer to get their cannabis benefits in the form of flower, but don’t want to deal with smoking or smoking apparatus, dry herb vapes continue to grow in popularity. Tronian brings their solution to the table in the form of the Milatron.
The website and marketing materials for Milatron call this a “BUDGET BEAST” but it feels nothing like a less than high quality device. Like the GammaTron, the Milatron is a feature-filled and shows real attention to detail for their consumers. This portable device can reach its max temperature of 240°C (464°F)in under 35 seconds. Among other features, the Milatron also features USB-C to charge its 2300 mAh battery, cleaning supplies and extra cleaning supplies and extra screens for quick replacements. This was intuitive to use and really delivered on both flavor and vapor, unlike some dry herb devices that have left us wondering if we were getting a hit or not. We love the heft of the piece and at a price point of $109.99, for those who have determined that dry herb vapes are their consumption method of choice, this is a great fit for most consumers looking for a long-term solution.
Full review video is coming soon, but if you’re already sold, you can purchase the Milatron directly from Tronian at www.tronian.com.
