CAMP Cannabis initiates production

Women-owned cannabis company will soon offer a variety of medical cannabis products to Missouri patients

CAMP Cannabis received its Approval to Operate (ATO) from the state last month. Since meeting that milestone, President Susan Griffith and Vice President Jennifer McGuire have initiated both cultivation and infused product manufacturing at CAMP’s state-of-the-art facility. Cannabis plants representing a variety of genetics with diverse medical treatment applications are in the ground, and a variety of CAMP’s infused products will soon be available for Missouri patients.

“For almost three years our entire team has been with us working through design, planning, and implementation, said CAMP President Susan Griffith. “We’ve navigated through substantial adversity and delay, but have persevered through everything — and are finally at the precipice of bringing the highest quality medicine to the patients of Missouri.”

CAMP Vice President Jennifer McGuire added, “This started as our vision. We’ve never wavered from that initial goal, and now we’re seeing the fruits of all the labor, time, and roadblocks that would have stopped most people. The CAMP team always found a way to reach its goals, and we never gave up. We are absolutely elated to soon provide high-quality, natural medicine to patients across the state.”

Griffith and McGuire co-founded CAMP — which stands for Certified Alternative Medicine Providers — in 2019, shortly after medical marijuana was legalized in Missouri, creating the state’s only licensed cannabis company completely owned by women. The pair have been building the CAMP team, company brand, and its 100,000 square foot production facility ever since. CAMP Cannabis aims to promote an active lifestyle coupled with outdoor activities and natural cannabis medicine to help patients recover, heal, and feel better than they did yesterday.

Creating the foundation for CAMP Cannabis, its leadership team has decades of professional healthcare experience. Griffith has been in the industry for twenty years, managing sales from pharmaceuticals to healthcare capital equipment. McGuire earned both undergraduate and graduate degrees in nursing and has served patients in a number of nursing positions since 2012. Griffith and McGuire have utilized their vast healthcare knowledge and experience in CAMP’s formation and facility construction, with the ultimate goal to help patients in need by providing a natural alternative to frequently harmful pharmaceuticals.
