Booneville dispensary license surrendered, Gravois Mills location awarded

A dispensary may also come to Gravois Mills.

According to the Department of Health and Senior Services’ master list, Natural Healthcare of Missouri surrendered its conditional dispensary license on March 3, 2020. The facility was set to open in Boonville. The facility would have been the only medical cannabis facility in Boonville.

BTMD Holdings LLC was awarded a dispensary license following the license surrender. The company was also previously awarded manufacturing and cultivation facility licenses in Gravois Mills, located between Lake Ozark and Versailles.

Since the final applications were chosen, there has been one approved licensee surrender their conditional place in the market and one contingent license awarded upon the surrendered license.

“Our contingent denial process is working as planned and allowing us to quickly move to the next applicant in line when a license becomes available,” said Lisa Cox, media contact for DHSS. “When a licensee surrendered its license earlier this month, we had the next licensee in place within days, and we will continue to utilize this process moving forward.”

The state awarded 348 total licenses over the months of December and January, and the awarded licenses were chosen from 2,100 total applications. There were 192 awarded dispensary licenses, 60 cultivation licenses, 86 manufacturing facilities, and 10 testing labs conditionally awarded. Over 800 license appeals have been filed since the state’s license announcement.

Twenty-two dispensary licenses were awarded in each of Missouri’s congressional districts. This license is in Missouri’s 3rd district, which is the central-western portion of the state and includes Columbia.
