Green Elevation aims to elevate industry, putting patient safety first

At the corner of 635, 9, and 69 is a small town called Riverside, located smack dab in the middle of Kansas City. Riverside is the chosen home for the proposed Green Elevation dispensary.

Brittany Strohm of Green Elevation told Greenway Magazine that the prospective dispensary is focused on providing qualifying patients with access to superior medical marijuana in the safest and most cost-effective way to treat their medical condition. Green Elevation says they will be an industry leader, focused on providing patients with a safe, secure environment, employing individuals who are knowledgeable about products sold, engaging a team of experts to assist with day-to-day operations, and providing patients with competitive pricing and benefits.

Green Elevation says they chose to apply for a dispensary license for a variety of reasons.

“The partners in our business are all advocates of medical marijuana and believe in the many benefits marijuana can offer qualifying patients,” Strohm said. “In addition, we are confident we can become an industry leader by providing patients with an experience and environment they may not otherwise be exposed to. We can see the vision for Missouri and want to be part of this monumental moment as patients are finally being granted access to medical marijuana.”

The team also plans to leave a positive footprint in the community by conducting outreach, through their partnership with Ayden’s Alliance, and providing scholarship opportunities to local young achievers.

Green Elevation plans to provide medical marijuana in the form of cannabis flower, seeds, edibles, and tinctures. They will also sell cannabis accessories, clothing items, and other promotional material.

The dispensary is an independent operation, planning to source inventory from a variety of licensed distributors.

“While we are not part of a vertical integration, we have spoken to several cultivators and manufacturers we hope to partner with to obtain our supply,” Strohm said. “We believe in creating partnerships and opportunity for our fellow industry leaders so we may source products from a variety of facilities. Ultimately sourcing products will come down to quality, safety, and patients needs.”

The Green Elevation team includes a range of health and industry experts including: a doctor, pharmacist, security director, attorney and business consultant with extensive experience in the medical industry. In addition, they have consulted with cannabis experts in other markets throughout the United States.

“Our number one priority is the safety and security of employees, patients, and the community,” Strohm said. “In addition, we want to become a reputable, medical marijuana dispensary known for quality patient care, excellent customer service, and superior product selection. We want to provide cost-effective ways for qualifying patients to obtain medical marijuana. We also want to foster an environment where employee-patient communication is clear, respectful and informative.”

Strohm said the Green Elevation team is hopeful and excited for the incoming industry, especially in light of the sheer number of applications.

“We are confident Missouri will be able to fulfill the needs of qualifying patients,” Strohm said. “We believe as industry leaders emerge, patients will be satisfied with the service and product they receive allowing the medical cannabis industry to flourish.”

With marijuana still being federally illegal, Green Elevation hopes patients will have access without any unnecessary burdens.

“In an industry that is still widely debated and challenged, we understand there may be difficulties,” Strohm said. “We simply hope patients can get the product they need without unnecessary restrictions and we can provide economic benefits to our local communities.”

Application groups have gone through an intense few months ahead of facility applications being opened, one Green Elevation navigated as a team.

“The most challenging part of entering the industry is most certainly putting all of the pieces together to ensure your application is strong in such a competitive process. With medical cannabis being new to Missouri, navigating your way through the system can be burdensome if you don’t have the right tools and a strong team.”

Green Elevation has applied for a medical marijuana dispensary facility license from the State of Missouri. Medical marijuana facility licenses will be awarded by the state of Missouri before December 31, 2019. No licenses have been awarded yet.
