MO Cannabis Summit & Expo brings together industry experts and problem solvers

Over two days, the staff of Cannabis Industrial Marketplace brought together ancillary businesses, service providers, industry experts, and prospective applicants from around the state.

Greenway attended the MO Cannabis Summit & Expo and found a wealth of knowledge from existing businesses and licensees in Illinois combined with an atmosphere of professionalism and opportunity to create a unique growth and networking experience.

The Expo hosted a slew of educational opportunities for licensees and entrepreneurs.

Seminars and speakers from across every branch of the growing industry including compliance, finance, construction, utilities, and technology were represented with a keynote speech from Andrea Balkenbush, Facility Licensing and Compliance Director, MO Dept of Health and Senior Services kicking off day two.

The floor buzzed as attendees moved from booth to booth, but even in the few areas of the building unpopulated by exhibitors, attendees gathered to compare notes, discuss opportunities, and even strike deals.

Greenway witnessed more than a handful of contracts and licensing agreements being discussed and signed during our time on the floor.

We spoke with Jen Wynn, Vice President of Expositions after the expo and discussed the climate of the building as well as the flurry of business dealings we saw.
“Our focus is more on the quality of attendees and business opportunity for our exhibitors.  I can tell you that one of our exhibitors shared that he closed multiple deals, one worth $130,000. Another (attendee), who this was their first show with us told me he had great connections and should close $1.5 million.”
