Missouri marijuana sales rise in March as first-quarter total reaches $376 million
March posted the highest monthly total of 2026 so far, while Missouri’s regulated market surpassed $5.29 billion in cumulative sales since 2020
Missouri marijuana sales reached $131.09 million in March 2026, according to DCR data, as the state’s regulated market rebounded from February and posted its strongest monthly total of the year so far.
Adult-use sales accounted for $119.15 million in March, while medical marijuana sales totaled $11.94 million. Combined sales increased 9.39% from February’s $119.84 million total.
On a daily basis, perhaps the most accurate method for measuring market consistency, Missouri operators generated an average of $4.23 million in sales at retail throughout March 2026.
That places March just behind February’s $4.28 million daily average this year, largely because February’s sales were spread across 28 days while March’s total was spread across 31.

March has consistently been one of Missouri’s strongest marijuana sales months, even when compared with months that include major cannabis retail hallmarks like April’s 420 promotions, July’s 710 concentrate-focused sales, and November’s Green Wednesday and Black Friday shopping surge.
Using 2023 through 2025 data, March averaged $127.26 million in total sales, ranking second among all months behind only December.
On a daily-sales basis, March also ranks near the top at $4.11 million per day on average, reinforcing that its strength is not just a function of calendar length, but sustained consumer demand across the full month. That performance is especially notable because March does not benefit from the same concentration of major promotional holidays and discount-driven sales days that often help lift totals in other key cannabis months.
Missouri dispensaries combined to average $4.22 million in sales per day in March 2025, and $4.23 million per day in March 2026.
That year-over-year increase from March 2025 to March 2026 was modest, but it continued the broader pattern seen across Missouri’s market, where growth has persisted year-over year.
January and February provide additional context for how 2026 has unfolded so far.
Missouri retail recorded $125.62 million in marijuana sales in January, averaging $4.05 million per day across 31 days. February brought in $119.84 million, or $4.28 million per day across 28 days. March followed with $131.09 million, averaging $4.23 million per day.

Total Q1 2026: $376.55
Through the first three months of 2026, Missouri has generated $376.55 million in total marijuana sales. Over that 90-day span, the market averaged $4.18 million in sales per day.
That first-quarter total is ahead of the same period in 2025.
Missouri recorded $369.99 million in sales across January, February, and March of last year, meaning 2026 is running 1.77 percent ahead on a year-over-year basis through the first quarter.
If Missouri were to maintain a monthly year-over-year sales increase of between 1.5% and 2.5% across the rest of 2026, the state would finish the year with roughly $1.54 billion to $1.56 billion in total marijuana sales.
That puts Missouri on track for another record year, even as growth continues to settle into a more measured pace.
Since the launch of Missouri’s legal marijuana program in 2020, the state has now generated a cumulative $5,298.54 million in legal marijuana sales.
While the rapid expansion that followed adult-use legalization has cooled, Missouri continues to operate as a stable, high-volume market.
March 2026 reinforced multiple trends, delivering the highest monthly sales total of the year so far and driving first-quarter sales.
