Minority Cannabis Business Association brings Equity Workshop Tour to St. Louis this weekend

The Minority Cannabis Business Association (MCBA) is set to bring its Equity Workshop Tour to St. Louis, part of the Midwest Region of the 2024 Tour. This national movement aims to strengthen the presence and influence of social equity applicants and operators in the burgeoning cannabis sector. The St. Louis event is one of over 25 events in a series of regional mini-tours spanning more than 20 states across the country.

In Missouri, the event has special significance as several microbusiness licenses are in the process of working to open their doors for operations, while more licenses are set to be awarded.

With the Equity Workshop, MCBA aims to help showcase and encourage an ecosystem committed to an equitable industry.

“One of the most important things in creating an equitable industry is the development of a solid ecosystem of aligned leaders. The Equity Workshop Tour aims to foster that development at each of our events, and across the Tour as a whole,” explained Mike Lomuto, Board Chair, Minority Cannabis Business Association.

Lacie Lloyd of the Office of Business Opportunity joins attorney Denise McCracken and Minorities for Medical Marijuana Missouri Chapter Director Brennan England to discuss advancement in the cannabis industry.

The Tour attracts social equity licensees and applicants, advocates, ancillary businesses, as well as local and state regulators, welcoming all with an interest in promoting a diverse and equitable industry.
