DCR issues limited recall for Sinse product

The May 1 recall is limited to Sinse Prepackaged Flower, 14g, Permanent Marker.

DCR, in partnership with Sinse Cultivation, issued a limited product recall on May 1 for marijuana product source tag 1A40C0300000A29000061341, sold to dispensary licensees by Sinse Cultivation Cherokee LLC, CUL000053.

The recall affects only one consumer product: Sinse Prepackaged Flower, 14g, Permanent Marker.

According to the release, DCR worked with Sinse Cultivation on the recall after the recalled product was tested and confirmed to contain pathogenic Aspergillus species detectable in 1 gram.

No adverse reactions have been reported to DCR at this time.

“The recalled marijuana product was tested as part of the routine sampling initiative implemented in July 2025 to ensure safety, label accuracy and consistency with state testing standards,” DCR explained in communications.

“The product did not pass testing for Aspergillus. Aspergillus is a common mold that can be tolerated in small amounts by healthy individuals but may cause adverse health effects in high amounts or in individuals with compromised immune systems.”

Patients and consumers who purchased the recalled product should stop using it. DCR said unused product may be returned to the dispensary facility where it was purchased, and returned products will not count toward a patient’s purchase limit.

DCR also directed patients and consumers to report adverse reactions by emailing CannabisComplaints@health.mo.gov or by using DCR’s complaint form.
