The venue for the event is the proposed location a dispensary if and when YEN-ology, championed by Dr. Mimi Vo and Sarah Glasser, receives their license.

Vo’s sister, Dr. Thanh-Mai Vo, a kidney specialist, painted the showcased works.

“I hope to use these works of art, my expressions of life, to help others,” Dr. Thanh-Mai Vo said. “As a nephrologist, I have seen too many times how health inequality can worsen medical disease. I hope to raise awareness about kidney disease and the health disparities that can affect those who are less fortunate. I pray that I will never again hear, ‘I do not have enough money to buy a blood pressure cuff.’ Thus, proceeds from my art will benefit the National Kidney Foundation as I believe in their mission to prevent kidney disease and improve the health and well-being of individuals and families affected by it. Art for Life.”

“Cannabis is on track to helping local communities!” Dr. Mimi Vo said.

“Creativity is essential to one’s happiness,” Dr. Thanh-Mai Vo said. “Art gives me life, and I strive to use art to give others life. Physicians are constantly taking care of others and at risk of neglecting ourselves. I use art to nourish my soul, and as an outlet when I am feeling the pressures of modern medicine.”
