Advisory Committee on Economic Impact in Site Community makes changes to rules

On Monday, the Advisory Committee on Economic Impact in Site Community met at the James C. Kirkpatrick Office Building in Jefferson City. The panel, consisting of Alan Spell the Department of Economic Development’s Economic & Workforce Research Manager; Ray McCarty, President of the Associated Industries of Missouri; and Kelly Dyer, Manager of Entrepreneurship and Business Development for Missouri Business Development Program at the Missouri Chamber, met to review questions on the Facility License Application Questions Draft and suggestions submitted via public input and departmental feedback.
The committee reviewed four questions (89-92) Monday morning, assigning each a level of importance, amending two, removing one, and unanimously approving the completed three questions.
The approved questions follow:
- (89) How will the business have a positive impact on the site community? Original text stricken and amended to : Because a ‘site community’ is dependent upon the location of the business, describe what you believe the community will be for the proposed location of the business (city, town, neighborhood, etc), and describe how the business will have a positive economic impact in that community. Accepted (Highly Important)
- 90 How many full-time jobs will the business have created within 1 year of being authorized to sell or process medical marijuana? Amended to : How many full-time equivalent jobs will the business have created within 1 year of being authorized to sell or process medical marijuana? Provide a breakdown of part-time and full-time positions. Accepted
- 91 How many part-time jobs will the business have created within 1 year of being authorized to sell or process medical marijuana? Deleted amended to rule 90
- 92 What will be the average hourly wage of employees in the first year the business is authorized to sell or process medical marijuana? Read as : What will be the average hourly wage of employees (excluding principal officers and owners) in the first year the business is authorized to sell or process medical marijuana? (if an employee is salaried, divide salary by 2080 to calculate hourly wage). Accepted as read (Important)
All rules and finalized questions for applications must be completed by June 4th.
