Hippos opens second dispensary location in Springfield, MO and announces Grand Opening Event

Hippos Marijuana Dispensary today announced their Springfield Grand Opening Celebration and Educational Event, slated for this Saturday, June 4th. The latest dispensary is conveniently located at the city’s most exclusive crossroads–Glenstone Avenue and Battlefield Road, across from Battlefield Mall in the Brentwood South Shopping Center.

Set in the heart of Springfield’s shopping district, Hippos is open 7 days a week. Normal daily hours of operation are 10AM to 8PM Tuesday to Saturday, and then 12PM to 7PM Sunday and Monday. Springfield is the second of three Hippos locations to open this past year. The third location will open later this summer in Columbia.

The large grand opening celebration is planned for this Saturday, June 4, 2022. The event features celebrity guests like St. Louis Blues Alumni Barret Jackman, live DJ, patient card sign-ups, food and amazing in-store patient offers and opportunities. Brands like Sundro Cannabis, Clovr, Illicit and Teal will be onsite from 1PM to 5PM, plus more. Guests will earn chances to win a Brett Hull meet and greet and other limited-edition merchandise. First 50 attendees will receive a complimentary gift bag. In-store deals will be offered all day Saturday, from open to close, so no need to wait until the afternoon.

“We are very excited to open our second medical marijuana dispensary in Springfield. The community and neighboring businesses are fantastic and very supportive. We plan to hire over 30 people and we can’t wait to settle into our newest home,” said Nick Rinella, Hippos CEO. “Honestly, I couldn’t be more grateful to all our patients, partners, vendors and team who helped us achieve another successful launch.”

“Our dispensary is truly one-of-a-kind. It’s bright, modern, fresh, and welcoming for all patients regardless of cannabis experience, knowledge, or budget,” said Lindsay Lockhart, Hippos Director of Brand and Retail. “We strive to be more than just a physical location to purchase your medicine. Our store is specifically designed to make shopping easy and enjoyable, with clearly displayed product menus and information available in an upbeat and fun environment.”

The modern, state-of-the-art dispensary features an art gallery interior with multiple points of sale, a media center, an online ordering system for in store pick up, and free patient education.
