Shangri-La Dispensaries hosts Missouri’s first Cannabis Farmer’s Market
Shangri-La Dispensaries are taking on a new approach that celebrates the history, gathering and exposing the roots of our traditions with a twist of Cannabis. Farmer’s Markets are believed to have originated in Egypt over 5000 years ago. This timeless tradition has brought cultivators and entrepreneurs an open market platform allowing them to increase economic success as well as boost social interaction within their community.
Missouri, primarily being a farming community, has worked to incorporate and support our heritage by growing a close relationship with farmers/cultivators. The ever-growing term “Farm to Table” has been embraced by many local businesses and allows individuals who have poured their blood sweat and tears into their fresh farm produce, a chance to educate the local community and sell their grade A products. This level of awareness and support is necessary in today’s thriving cannabis market.
Shangri-La is a locally owned medical dispensary committed to providing our patients with the compassion, knowledge, and care they deserve when it comes to health and well-being. Our highly educated patient consultants are available to you and the community Monday-Sunday from 10:00 AM- 8:00 PM at 3 of our locations. Depending on patient need 4 oz. per 30 days isn’t always enough, so we have collaborated with MMJ Card Clinic who will certify patients to increase their limit to up to 8 oz. per month (Depending on condition and evaluation by a physician). Legal Missouri 2022 will also be there in hopes to collect additional signatures to get the recreational marijuana use initiative on the ballot.
Farmer’s Market event is not a new concept, but Shangri-La has incorporated this concept into the cannabis industry because we know the importance of direct communication & interaction with organic growers and manufacturers, so our patients have a better understanding of where their medication is coming from. Shangri-La works effortlessly to reduce margins, so patients have access to a higher quality of medication, at a more affordable price.
What can you expect from Shangri-La’s 1st ever Farmer’s Market? Festivities include, but are not limited to, The Big Cheese Food Truck, live music, free swag, and to top it all off, a Pinball tournament! Shangri-La invites everyone, even if you’re not a patient, to enjoy the sunshine, fresh air, and fun we have in store for you this Saturday and Sunday, April 16th and 17th from noon to 8:00 PM.
