Want to make your pumpkin spice extra special? Adding cannabis might be just the ticket!

As summer is wraps-up and signs of autumn begin to show, pumpkin spice season is officially upon us! This fall, anyone with a Missouri Medical Card can enjoy the season in-style by treating themselves to some pumpkin spice edibles and beverages! Here are a few of our favorite recipes to make your pumpkin spice experience extra special:

Don’t Even Talk to Me Until I’ve Had My Cannabis-infused Coffee

Starbucks may have originated the Pumpkin Spice Latte, but their recipe didn’t include medical marijuana. The best part of waking up is THC in your cup. Here’s how to add cannabis for a pick-me up you can’t get in a coffee shop:

Ingredients:

  • ⅔ cup espresso or 1 cup strongly brewed coffee

  • 1 tbsp agave nectar

  • ¼ cup pumpkin puree (canned pumpkin)

  • 1 ½ tbsp agave nectar

  • ¼ tsp vanilla extract

  • ½ tsp pumpkin pie spice (if you can’t find any, you can make your own)

  • 2 cups hot milk (dairy or nut milk is fine – whatever you prefer)

  • Cannabis tincture (your desired dosage – here’s how to make your own)

Instructions:

  1. Heat a saucepan over medium heat. Add the espresso/coffee, agave nectar, vanilla extract, and pumpkin pie spice and pumpkin puree. Stir occasionally and heat for about four minutes, until the ingredients begin to steam, but not boil.

  2. Froth the mixture in the pan until the top is nice and foamy. You can use a mixer, but the easiest way is with an electric frother.

  3. Pour this mixture into your mugs.

  4. Add your desired dosage of cannabis tincture.

  5. Add your hot milk (you can heat it in a microwave or with low heat on the stovetop at the same time you are making the coffee mixture – be sure not to scorch it). There should be about twice as much milk as there is of the coffee mixture. Be sure to use a spoon to hold the foam back as you pour.

  6. Enjoy!

You’ll Be Thankful for Cannabis-infused Pumpkin Pie!

You don’t need to wait until Thanksgiving to try this recipe. You’ll be thankful either way when you add medical marijuana to this seasonal dessert.

Here’s what you need:

  • 1 can pumpkin puree (about two cups or 15 oz.)

  • 8 oz. cream cheese (room temperature)

  • Two eggs (beaten)

  • 1 tbsp brandy (optional)

  • ¼ tsp sea salt

  • ⅔ cup agave nectar

  • 1 cup heavy cream

  • ⅓ cup cannabutter (if your dispensary doesn’t carry it, here’s how to make your own)

  • 1 tsp ground ginger

  • ½ tsp vanilla extract

  • 1 tbsp pumpkin pie spice if you can’t find any, you can make your own)

  • 1 pie crust (unbaked – either store bought, or make it from scratch)

  • 1 can whipped cream (or level up by making your own cannabis-infused whipped cream!)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 350 degrees.

       
  2. Beat the cream cheese and heavy cream until smooth. Then add the pumpkin puree and continue mixing until they are evenly combined.

  3. Mix-in the cannabutter, heavy cream, eggs and vanilla extract.

  4. Mix-in the agave nectar, salt, and pumpkin pie spice until everything is blended.

  5. Pour the mixture into the pie crust. Use a spatula to even it out.

  6. Bake for 45-55 minutes. Remove from the oven once the pie center is set.

  7. Add whipped cream, and enjoy!

 

Wake and Bake with a Cannabis Pancake!

There’s no better way to start your day than with some delicious, cannabis-infused pancakes! Our favorite recipe also happens to be vegan, so you don’t need to worry about eggs.

Here’s what you need:

  • 1 cup nut milk (soy, almond, coconut, etc. – either plain or vanilla-flavor)

  • ¼ cup canna-oil (if your dispensary doesn’t have it on-hand, you can make your own)

  • 2 large bananas (or 3 if they’re smaller – the riper, the better!)

  • 2 tbsp natural sweetener (we prefer honey or agave nectar)

  • 1 tbsp lemon juice

  • 1 tsp pumpkin pie spice (if you can’t find any, you can make your own)

  • 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

  • 1 tsp baking soda

  • ¼ tsp salt

 

Instructions:

  1. Whisk the nut milk and lemon juice together, then let it sit for about 5 minutes.

  2. Add all the dry ingredients to a bowl and whisk them together. Set aside.

  3. In a separate bowl, mash the bananas (it’s okay to leave some lumps at this stage). Then, add all of the wet ingredients, including the lemon juice/nut milk mixture and whisk it all together.

  4. Mix the dry and wet ingredients together. Stir until smooth (there can be some banana lumps remaining, but you don’t want any lumps of the dry ingredients).

  5. Add butter or coconut oil to a pan and put it on medium heat on your stove. Drop the batter onto the pan in small discs and cook for a few minutes on each side, until the bottom is brown, but not burned.

  6. Dress your pancakes as you prefer – we like butter and maple syrup or sometimes peanut butter!

  7. Enjoy!
