From activists to consultants to operators themselves, the following industry influencers are responsible for determining not only how the industry overcomes the obstacles of 2020, but how the industry will be better for it. Why cannabis?

My first thought about this question is, why not cannabis? I am a proponent of cannabis and its lawful usage. Cannabis is an amazing plant that provides natural healing benefits for many with chronic health issues. The cannabis industry and holistic wellness go hand-in-hand steering individuals to safer alternatives than prescription drugs in some cases. A key example is the opioid crisis that is out of control and responsible for so many senseless deaths. In addition, the military community is near and dear to my heart. As my father is a retired Army Colonel, I appreciate the significant benefits cannabis can provide to those suffering from PTSD. We have an opportunity to provide and educate Missouri patients on the healing factors of cannabis.

My passion for the industry comes from my love for the plant and the opportunities to improve the wellness of the patients and the community. Nirvana will be at the forefront here in Missouri and a catalyst to raise awareness and help individuals’ access cannabis in a safe, secure and reliable manner.

With rapid-growth nation-wide, there will be continued opportunities within this industry, from agriculture, chemistry, finance, marketing, customer relations and beyond. You can begin your career path or continue an established career in a new innovative industry that has not even touched it’s full potential.

As the “Creator of Experiences” I want to help our team members and others in the industry to grow their career and individual potential. My energy, inspiration and passion are fueled by inspiring others and I picture my career in cannabis as the perfect platform to provide this support. It is beyond my wildest dreams that I would have this amazing opportunity to help lead the way for the growth of cannabis in Missouri. It is such a fun industry.

What is your vision of the industry in Missouri?

I believe Missouri will be a leader of the Cannabis industry in the United States. The compassion and dedication I have seen at all levels, from applicants, licensees, the Trade Association, industry providers, government entities and most importantly our team members serving patients every day sets the stage for greatness.

Missouri will enter the market maintaining the highest levels of ethical standards, adhering to guidelines set out by the DHSS, remaining compliant and putting the safety of Missouri patients and employees at the highest level of priority. As we enter the medical marijuana market we will successfully overcome the negative stigma cannabis can bring with it. We will be able to introduce Missouri to cannabis safely, earn respect, and enter into to adult use favorably in the very near future.

Missouri will provide a voice in government to push for the legalization of cannabis federally. Missouri will continue to educate and provide a higher level of learning for the community and individuals by supporting communities with commerce, employment opportunities and volunteer resources. For these reasons, Missouri will be admired and respected for its innovation and professionalism in the industry.

My vision is that Nirvana Investments will be recognized as an Employer of Choice setting the bar for employees and its service and commitment to Missouri patients at the highest level.

What opportunity/opportunities does the industry create in Missouri?

There is nothing but amazing opportunities for individuals at all levels to enter a new industry with passion, entrepreneurial spirit, and drive to succeed. The industry affords the ability to bring new ideas to grow the market along with growing their own skill set. Individuals can manage their career journey through overcoming challenges and celebrating successes. The opportunities to dive into giving back to the community and serving Missouri patients are endless. It is an opportunity to “Create” your own experience and make a mark for oneself in cannabis.

Entering ground level of a new industry offers endless educational opportunities to learn new skills and the potential to explore careers in healthcare, security, compliance, IT, management, sales, customer service, chemistry, packaging, marketing and beyond. Most importantly, everyone involved will learn about and experience the healing benefits of cannabis.

My goal as a leader is to empower others to take ownership in leading the way for themselves and others for personal growth, patient education, product safety and industry success.

What is one thing you wish all Missourians knew about cannabis?

Besides the healing benefits of the plant, the Cannabis industry brings along with it the highest level of professionals that are educated, passionate, driven, dedicated and service oriented. Safe patient care is the number one priority. It is a highly professional industry with meaningful opportunities. It is hard to describe the positive energy in the cannabis industry; from those directly involved, to patients and vendors supporting the success of cannabis in Missouri.
