Renewal deadline fast approaching for most Missouri marijuana facility licenses

Most original Missouri marijuana facility licensees are approaching their deadline to submit their renewal applications. Missouri marijuana facility licenses, with the exception of seed to sale certifications, are valid for three years from the date of issuance by the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services (DHSS).

In order to maintain such licenses, license holders must submit a request for renewal online via the Complia portal at least 30 days, but no sooner than 90 days, prior to the license expiration dateSee 19 CSR 100-1.060(7). For example, if a marijuana facility was issued a license on Dec. 26, 2022, the license holder would have to request for a renewal between Sept. 27, 2025 and Nov. 26, 2025.

A renewal request is deemed received when both the renewal application and renewal fee are received by the department. The renewal fee for each type of license can be found online on DHSS’s fee schedule webpage.

A renewal request will be granted unless the facility licensee is not in good standing with the department or for other good cause as determined by DHSS. Good standing means the license is not suspended or revoked at the time the request is made. See 19 CSR 100-1.060(7).
