Missouri marijuana sales reach $119 million in February as daily averages continue to rise

Market posts steady year-over-year growth as Missouri surpasses $5.16 billion in cumulative sales

Missouri marijuana sales reached $119.84 million in February 2026, according to Divison of Cannabis Regulation data, as the state’s regulated market continues to show steady growth more than three years after the launch of adult-use sales.

Adult-use sales accounted for $108.11 million in February, while medical marijuana sales totaled $11.73 million, continuing a long-term shift toward adult-use purchasing that has defined the market since early 2023.

Retail operators in the state generated an average of $4.28 million in daily sales throughout February.

February average daily sales

  • 2023: $3.68M/day

  • 2024: $3.91M/day

  • 2025: $4.15M/day

  • 2026: $4.28M/day

February sales have increased each year on a per-day basis, rising from $3.68 million per day during the launch month of February 2023 to $4.28 million per day in 2026. The most recent year-over-year increase of 3.11 percent reflects continued growth, though at a slower pace than earlier years.

January data shows a similar pattern. Missouri recorded $125.62 million in marijuana sales in January 2026, averaging $4.05 million per day across the 31-day month. That compares to $122.88 million in January 2025, or $3.96 million per day, and $109.76 million in January 2024, which equates to $3.54 million per day.

Through the first two months of 2026, Missouri has generated $245.46 million in total marijuana sales, compared to $239.11 million during the same period in 2025. That represents a 2.66 percent year-over-year increase, indicating continued expansion in the state’s cannabis market.

2026 monthly sales in millions

  • January 2026: $125.62

  • February 2026: $119.84

  • Total (Jan–Feb 2026): $245.46

Annual totals further illustrate the market’s trajectory. Missouri recorded $1.338 billion in marijuana sales in 2023, which included the first 11 months of adult-use activity. That figure increased to $1.461 billion in 2024, a 9.13 percent rise during the first full year of adult-use sales.

By 2025, total sales reached $1.518 billion, representing a 3.92 % increase year over year and signaling a shift toward a more mature, stable market.

Since the launch of Missouri’s medical marijuana program in 2020, the state has generated a cumulative $5.167 billion in legal marijuana sales, reflecting sustained consumer demand within a regulated system overseen by DCR.

While growth has slowed percentage-wise compared to the initial years following adult use legalization, Missouri continues to post consistent gains in daily sales, with February 2026 reflecting the market’s transition into a stable, high-volume market for retail.
