MoCannTrade hosts annual PAC fundraiser and Q3 Member Meetup in alignment with MJ Unpacked

Andrew Mullins discusses the upcoming MoCann Trade PAC Fundraiser, the Quarterly Meeting, and the partnership with MJUnpacked

MoCannTrade is bringing together members of Missouri’s cannabis industry for a full day of networking, advocacy, and celebration during the week of MJ Unpacked St. Louis.

On Wednesday, September 3, MoCannTrade will host its 5th Annual PAC Fundraiser at TopGolf Midtown (1381 S. Kirkwood Rd., St. Louis, MO 63122) from 1:30 to 5:30 p.m. The member-exclusive event supports the organization’s policy efforts and PAC fund, helping ensure Missouri’s cannabis industry remains represented at the Capitol. Registration is open for both golfers and non-golfers, though space is limited.

This year’s fundraiser will again feature the popular Grand Prize Golf Fly Away, sending the top-scoring team of six, the best individual player, and two raffle winners on an all-expenses-paid golf trip to The Patriot Golf Club in Tulsa, Oklahoma, on October 27. Other tournament highlights include a hole-in-one competition and custom Vessel golf bag raffles.

Registration for the PAC Fundraiser also includes access to the evening’s Q3 Member Meetup, taking place at the St. Louis Union Station Hotel (1820 Market St., St. Louis, MO 63103) from 5 to 7:30 p.m.

Those that don’t participate in the PAC Fundraiser and choose to spend time at Day One of MJUnpacked won’t have to travel far to be part of the Q3 event.

The meetup is hosted within MJ Unpacked’s Opening Night Reception and is complimentary for MoCann members. The event offers cocktails, networking, and a look at the MJ Unpacked Experience Hall following the first day of  informative sessions.

“We’ve got our board meeting at 1pm and then we’ll do our Topgolf fundraiser, which is already getting close to being sold out. And then we thought it was just an excellent opportunity to give all of our members free access as usual to the meetup. But that meetup is hosted within MJ Unpacked’s opening night reception. So not only do all of our members get to hang out with each other like they love to do, but they also get to walk the floor and interact with all of the attendees for MJ Unpacked’s conference,” explained MoCann’s Executive Director Andrew Mullins.

“Partnering for the opening night reception follows sort of the natural flow in from our events happening earlier in the day, and brings more of our members into the fold.”

Mullins continued, saying the partnership with MJ Unpacked is an important opportunity for Missouri’s operators.

“We were really excited when we got the news that the MJ Unpacked team had once again chosen St. louis for the event. It’s just a really great integration and opportunity to get together with the Missouri industry as well as folks from the national cannabis industry,” Mullins said.

He added that aligning MoCann’s programming with MJ Unpacked benefits members and the broader industry.

“For us, it just made sense that people would likely want to stick around and enjoy the rest of the conference, as an efficiency versus having them be standalone. It’s kind of all one big thing,” he said.

Mullins also emphasized that Missouri’s industry being selected as a host site reflects the state’s continued growing influence.

“I think the biggest thing is, it’s a testament to our operators and the industry here in Missouri that not only are we finding success, but the rest of the country has really taken a liking to Missouri industry and we just love the fact that it shines a bigger, brighter light on us and our operators and our members and all the hard work that we as an industry put into making this area as great as it is,” he said.

MoCannTrade members can register for the PAC Fundraiser and Q3 Member Meetup now, for Mocann Members and Greenway Readers who want to attend the full MJ Unpacked conference in St. Louis, September 3-5, can use Greenway30 to receive 30% their registration.
