Shred for the Cure returns to Missouri with Timeless, DJ Stewart, Head for the Cure, and artist John Malta

In a collaboration that fuses skate culture, cannabis advocacy, and cancer awareness, Timeless is once again teaming up with DJ Stewart and Head for the Cure for the third annual Shred for the Cure campaign—an effort grounded in authenticity, community, and meaningful impact.

“This is the one thing that I’m the most proud of from time. I was able to team up with a super homie for a long time and actually raise money for something that really matters,” said Dub Warner, Missouri Field Marketing Manager for Timeless.

Since launching in Missouri, the Shred for the Cure campaign has expanded across the country, raising more than $60,000 to benefit brain cancer research and patient support through Head for the Cure. What began as a local collaboration between Warner and Stewart has evolved into a multi-state initiative powered by cultural connection and grassroots momentum.

“Over the past three years, we’ve done four or five skateboarding events. We’ve put on fundraisers all over the country. Timeless has made countless products that have all benefited Head for the Cure,” Stewart said. “These dollars go directly to research to defeat this fucking thing. They go to patient support groups and to the hospitals that treat these patients. These dollars actually matter.”

The latest installment of the campaign kicks off today, May 15, and runs through June 30 in six U.S. markets. As part of the 2025 activation, Timeless will release a limited-edition flip case and battery combo featuring custom artwork by Kansas City native and internationally recognized artist John F. Malta. All profits from these product sales will be donated directly to Head for the Cure, funding vital services for those affected by brain cancer.

In addition to the limited-edition product, dispensaries participating in Shred for the Cure will make local donations to ensure that funds remain within the communities they serve, extending the campaign’s positive reach and encouraging more dispensary-level engagement.

The partnership between Stewart and Timeless began with a personal connection. Warner, who formerly managed a skate shop in Overland Park, had followed Stewart’s journey as a skateboarder and brain cancer survivor. When Warner joined Timeless, he saw an opportunity to amplify that story through a cause-driven campaign that spoke directly to shared values.

“With the spread that Timeless has and the reach we had in Missouri, we could raise some decent money and stick to something culture-based like skateboarding,” Warner said. “It was kind of a no-brainer.”

Stewart, now a national advocate for Head for the Cure, has shaped each year’s campaign. This year’s design collaboration with Malta blends creative storytelling with street-level awareness, making the gear as impactful as the cause it represents.

“The real win is the fact that it’s still growing,” Stewart said. “There are more people showing up every time, more patients getting help, and more people talking about brain cancer and cannabis as part of the healing journey.”
