April sales top $125 million, marijuana sales rise 4.86% year over year

Missouri cannabis sales in April 2025 totaled $125.88 million, according to data released by the Division of Cannabis Regulation, marking a 4.86% increase over April 2024 sales of $120.05 million. The year-over-year gain continues a trend of measured growth for the state’s legal marijuana market.

Adult use sales reached $111.10 million, up from $104.58 million the previous year. Medical marijuana sales totaled $14.78 million, down slightly from $15.47 million in April 2024.

Although total monthly sales dipped slightly from March 2025, when the state reported $130.95 million in revenue, that month-over-month decline is consistent with historical trends in Missouri. April has traditionally followed March with a moderate decline in monthly cannabis revenue.

More telling of the market’s strength is the increase in average daily sales.

For April 2025, the daily sales average was $4.20 million, up from $4.00 million in April 2024. The April average also sustained momentum from March 2025’s daily average of $4.22 million.

  • January 2025: $3.96 million

  • February 2025: $4.15 million

  • March 2025: $4.22 million

  • April 2025: $4.20 million

Year-to-date sales in Missouri now stand at $495.87 million through the end of April, a roughly 6% increase from the $467.92 million recorded over the same period in 2024.

Missouri’s marijuana program has now surpassed $3.9 billion in cumulative sales since its inception, further cementing its place as one of the strongest performing adult use markets in the Midwest.

Each month of 2025 has so far outpaced its 2024 counterpart. Missouri’s cumulative marijuana sales now total $3.9 billion, positioning the state to cross the $4 billion mark before the end of summer.

If the current pace holds, total sales for the year should surpass $1.6 billion sold in 2024.
