Verts celebrates Grand Opening in Kansas City with community and special appearances
Verts, a dispensary chain that has become known for its hometown feel is bringing that mindset to the city with the launch of its newest location in Kansas City.
The Grand Opening event promises to be a day filled with celebration, education, and special appearances is sure to make a significant mark on the local cannabis retail landscape.
Amber Taylor, Regional Social Media & Events Manager for Verts, shared insights into what makes the Kansas City location unique. “We are bringing our small-town hospitality and sense of community to the Kansas City market,” Taylor stated.
Unlike other Verts dispensaries in Missouri, the Kansas City location will not feature a drive-thru but will instead offer a designated lane for express online shoppers, ensuring the same great service and product selection that customers have come to expect from Verts.
The grand opening, scheduled to include a ribbon-cutting ceremony with the Liberty Chamber of Commerce from 12:30 to 1:00 pm, will offer attendees an opportunity to enjoy great specials from highlighted vendors. These vendors will educate attendees on their products during scheduled pop-up slots. Additionally, partners from Synergy FC will be giving away free tickets to the March 1st Synergy Fight Night at Memorial Hall in Kansas City, and UFC legend Zak Cummings will be present to greet guests.
In preparation for the grand opening, Verts has established partnerships with local businesses and community organizations, including the Liberty Chamber of Commerce and the Kansas City Chamber of Commerce. “Community engagement is what we do,” Taylor emphasized, highlighting Verts’ commitment to service and the philosophy of leaving things better than found. The dispensary has also partnered with Major Pac Group for upcoming events and maintains strong relationships with Synergy Fight Club and Ignite Gym in Gladstone.
The Kansas City dispensary is a relocation of a license from the Gallatin, Taylor explained. “We have retained a good portion of the original staff, as well as the addition of 15-20 amazing team members. We have been fortunate enough to have the Gallatin location to do training for these new team members, which has also helped develop the bond between co-workers needed for a successful retail operation.” The increased visibility and traffic of a Kansas City location further cements Verts’ presence and commitment to the Missouri market. The Kansas City location represents a strategic move in Verts’ strategy within Missouri, marking a long-planned expansion that adheres to the company’s philosophy of slow and steady growth. Despite the challenges of expansion, Taylor noted the smooth transition and supportive collaboration with the city and Missouri marijuana regulators.
Since the launch of Verts in Missouri, the company has expanded to new locations in Golden, Colorado; Grand Lake, Colorado; Traverse City, Michigan; and entered a retail partnership in Rogers Park, Illinois. While Verts is poised for continued growth, Taylor reiterates the company’s approach to expansion,”Our growth strategy is simple. We are a small, family-run business. Slow and steady. Don’t take on more than you can handle, and don’t pay more than it’s worth.”
