SWADE Cannabis, hip hop artist Mvstermind team up to support budding acts during Music at the Intersection
Exclusive cannabis sponsorship of annual music festival provides SWADE Cannabis with an opportunity to showcase up-and-coming musical acts September 9-10
SWADE Cannabis, Missouri’s premium cannabis dispensary, is the exclusive cannabis sponsor for Music at the Intersection, an annual civic-led festival created to tell the story of St. Louis’ musical, cultural and artistic heritage. Scheduled for Sept. 9-10 at the Grand Center Arts District, the two-day festival brings together a varied roster of national and local musical acts across genres that have been birthed locally or enjoyed strong local followings.
As part of the sponsorship, SWADE has teamed up with St. Louis-based hip hop artist Mvstermind to present 45 musicians hand selected to perform on a SWADE-sponsored pop-up stage during the two-day event. The scheduled performers were all attendees of Mvstercamp, a six-day enrichment program and educational opportunity for budding musicians presented by the Regional Arts Commission and Culture Collective, the community engagement brand of Sinse Cannabis’ parent company, BeLeaf Medical.
“It is such a privilege to help up-and-coming local musicians get the education, experience and exposure they need to succeed,” said Jason Nelson, CEO of SWADE Cannabis and BeLeaf Medical. “The commitment we have witnessed between these talented individuals and the music and arts community is nothing short of inspirational. We cannot thank Mvstermind enough for allowing us to be part of this great vision.”
Now in its second year, Mvstercamp was founded as an “artist bootcamp created to elevate the mind, body and soul.” Each six-day session provides 45 musicians with the tools, resources and connections to scale their music entrepreneurial journey. Over the course of the artist enrichment camp, participants gain practical skills in show production, marketing and promotions, on-stage presence and stamina.
“There is nothing more inspiring than helping another musician realize their potential and reach new heights of artistry,” said Mvstermind. “Thanks to the support from the cannabis community, we are able to bring together this amazing group of artists so we can all learn together. I cannot wait to showcase their amazing talent at Music at the Intersection.”
Mvstercamp participants will be performing at a special pop-up stage sponsored by Sinse Cannabis throughout the two-day event.
