St. Louis medical marijuana dispensaries hit in series of break-ins
Over two days this week, three dispensaries in St. Louis City were targeted in the early morning break-ins.
Police are investigating a series of burglaries at St. Louis area medical marijuana dispensaries that took place on Wednesday and Thursday of this week.
Greenway has obtained copies of police reports involving break-ins at the Greenlight Dispensary at 6497 Chippewa, 3Fifteen Primo Cannabis at 5501 Chippewa, and SWADE Dispensary at 4108 Manchester.
At press, investigators had not identified individual suspects, but reports indicate that the break-ins were perpetrated by groups, one report identifies 7 individuals, another report lists as many as 6 individuals.
The reports indicate similarities and investigators believe that the break-ins may be linked.
In each instance, the perpetrators used multiple vehicles and the break-ins occurred in the early hours of the morning between 3 and 4 am.
The perpetrators have forced entry into the facilities through exterior doors and windows.
Reports indicate that no marijuana products were stolen in any of the three burglaries.
Greenway has confirmed an additional burglary attempt in St. Louis County earlier this month.
A representative of St. Louis County Police confirmed that on July 17 the Cookies Dispensary at 11088 New Halls Ferry Rd was targeted in an attempted burglary.
In that instance, the perpetrators never gained access to the dispensary facility.
