Crash sees 500 lbs of marijuana spread across interstate on 420
Crashes on Interstate 70 are a regular occurrence, crashes that leave 500 pounds of prepackaged cannabis strewn across the interstate, well those are less common.
In an ironic twist for 420, Missouri State Highway Patrol officers responded to a crash on I-70 in Callaway County on Wednesday that led to two arrests.

Two individuals were arrested, accused of 1st degree felony drug trafficking. The driver faces an additional charge of careless and imprudent driving resulting in a crash.
According to reports, the driver and passenger were not licensed employees of a legal Missouri marijuana business or transportation company, and the product was not packaged or marked for legal sale in the state. A passenger told one officer that the shipment was from Oregon and meant for delivery in Pennsylvania, according to a probable cause statement.
The arrests were made in Montgomery County, roughly 30 miles from the scene of the crash.
MSHP reported no serious injuries occurred.
