New medical cannabis dispensary opens in Sunrise Beach

The newest medical cannabis dispensary at Lake of the Ozarks is now open for business.

Budd Dispensary is located at 12077 North State Highway 5, Sunrise Beach, Missouri 65079. The retail outlet is open daily, 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. More information, including store directions and available product lines, can be found online at www.budddispensaries.com.

Blue Arrow, the vertically integrated company founded by Clayton attorney John Wilbers, was also awarded two cultivation licenses and a medical cannabis manufacturing licenses for facilities in the city of St. Louis.

Those facilities will in turn supply not only the company’s dispensary but also retail locations across the state with cannabis flower as well as edibles, concentrates, topicals and vape pens.

   

More than 136,000 Missouri patients have been approved as medical marijuana cardholders by the state Department of Health and Senior Services. Medical cannabis sales in Missouri include an additional 4% sales tax, with the proceeds dedicated toward veterans’ health and care services.

The department has licensed 349 facilities across the state to cultivate, manufacture, test and dispense medical marijuana. The medical marijuana program, which was approved by 66% of Missouri voters on the November 2018 ballot, has already generated more than $90 million in tax revenue to the state of Missouri through July.
