Show-Me Organics launches Microbusiness Incubator

Leading Missouri cannabis operator offers application funding, operational support, and brand licensing to Missouri cannabis microbusinesses.

Show-Me Organics—operator of leading Missouri cannabis brands including Vivid, Buoyant Bob, Missouri’s Own and Blue Sage Cannabis Deli—is launching an incubator to offer prospective microbusiness applicants with support on operations, applications and associated fees.

“Just four years ago, we were applying for our own licenses,” explains Show-Me Organics CEO, Boston Dickerson. “We learned a great deal in the process of applying for and
launching our operations, and we want to see these microbusinesses succeed.”

At least 48 microbusiness licenses will be issued in Missouri, with winners selected through a lottery. Show-Me Organics aims to demystify the process for applicants, and
cover application costs for up to 6 applications. Winning applicants from the incubator will also benefit from training by Show-Me Organics’ experts in cultivation, manufacturing,
marketing and retail.

   

Microbusiness applicants must be majority owned and operated by individuals who each meet at least one of the following eligibility requirements:
● Has a net worth less than $250,000 and an income below 250% of the federal poverty level;
● Has a valid service-connected disability card issued by the U.S. Department of Veteran Affairs;
● Is someone who has been, or whose parent or guardian has been arrested, prosecuted or convicted of a non-violent marijuana offense;
● Resides in a ZIP code or census tract where 30% or more of the population lives below the federal poverty level, the unemployment rate is 50% higher than the
state average or the historic rate of incarceration for marijuana-related offenses is 50% higher than the state average; or
● Graduated from an unaccredited school district or lived in a ZIP code with an unaccredited school.
