Greenway Best of the Industry 2026 winners announced in Kansas City
Missouri cannabis industry leaders gathered in Kansas City this weekend as Greenway hosted the annual Best of the Industry Awards at Warehouse on Broadway, recognizing standout businesses and individuals across the state’s evolving market.
The 2026 Best of the Industry program marked a new milestone for Greenway, with more than 200,000 votes cast by readers across Missouri. The continued growth in participation reflects both the expansion of the state’s cannabis market and increasing engagement from consumers and industry professionals alike.
The live event in Kansas City brought together a wide cross-section of the cannabis industry, with representation spanning from budtenders and brand ambassadors to founders, executives, and corporate leadership. The annual gathering has continued to grow as a central moment for the Missouri cannabis community to connect and recognize achievements across all sectors of the industry.
The live event also marked the official announcement of several of the industry’s most anticipated honors, including Company of the Year, Executive of the Year, and Brand of the Year. These headline categories highlight organizations and individuals demonstrating leadership, consistency, and impact across Missouri cannabis.

Proper was named Company of the Year, reinforcing its continued presence as one of Missouri’s most established vertically integrated operators. The company also secured Best Manufacturer, further underscoring its role in product development and statewide distribution.
Mary Kate Black was recognized as Executive of the Year, reflecting leadership at the executive level during a period of sustained growth and operational maturity across for Flora.
Mitch Meyers was named Woman of the Year, an award recognizing influence, leadership, and contributions to the industry’s advancement.
VIBE earned Brand of the Year honors, continuing its recognition among consumers and industry peers for brand development, product consistency, and market presence.
Current Cannabis was named Start-Up of the Year, highlighting how quickly the retailer established a foothold and presence in Missouri’s competitive landscape.
On the cultivation side, Carroll County Cannabis Co. was awarded Best Cultivator, recognizing performance in production, quality, and supply within the state’s regulated system. C4 was also recognized for Best Flower Cultivar for its Mule Fuel by Belushi’s Farm.
Sunrise was named Best Dispensary, reflecting excellence in retail operations, customer experience, and community presence, as the company also celebrated Nick Davis being selected Best Budtender and Joe Cavaluzzi as Best Retail Management Professional.

The 2026 Best of the Industry Awards served as both a celebration of achievement and a reflection of the industry’s continued growth.
The event was presented by Timeless and the cannabis agency.

MJ Unpacked will be returning to Atlantic City in May, before coming to Kansas City in Fall 2026.
