Mitch Meyers of SWADE Cannabis named to Inc.’s 2025 Female 500 Founders List for trailblazing leadership in cannabis

This award recognizes the most dynamic women entrepreneurs in America.

Mitch Meyers, Co-Founder and Partner of the Missouri-based vertically-integrated cannabis company BeLeaf Medical Co., which includes SWADE Cannabis and Sinse (multiple locations), was named to Inc.’s 2025 Female 500 Founders List, recognizing her leadership in the cannabis industry. This prestigious award honors women entrepreneurs driving success across industries, recognizing Meyers for her transformative leadership in cannabis.

Meyers’ career is marked by innovation in brand-building and consumer engagement. Before entering cannabis, she spent years at Anheuser-Busch, where she helped develop and launch Bud Light and created the iconic 1980s mascot, Spuds MacKenzie. Her groundbreaking work earned her the title of Advertising Woman of the Year by Adweek in 1996.

After an accomplished career in consumer marketing, Meyers took her expertise in brand development and applied it to the emerging cannabis industry. “Failing” at retirement at the age of 57, she realized her next calling was moving Missouri into the marijuana mindset. In 2014, she led an investment team to acquire a license to dispense medical cannabis in the Chicago area. In 2015, she successfully applied for and obtained a vertically integrated license in Missouri to grow, extract, and dispense CBD oil for Epilepsy at BeLeaf Life’s Oil, one of the only two approved. Since then, Meyers has been a champion of medical and adult-use cannabis consumption, consulting with a variety of companies around the country and helping build the brands under BeLeaf Medical Co., where she serves on the Board of Directors.

As a partner at BeLeaf Medical Co., she has assisted the talented staff of SWADE Cannabis at its six locations and elevated the Sinse brand to a top-five flower brand, available in over 180 dispensaries statewide. BeLeaf Medical Company achieved double-digit growth over the past two years and was named Company of the Year by Greenway Magazine.

“I’m humbled to be named to Inc.’s 2025 Female 500 Founders for my contributions to the cannabis industry,” said Meyers. “The cannabis landscape is constantly changing. I have prioritized bringing my leadership to the right people, and together, we have taken BeLeaf Medical to new heights.”
