Missouri marijuana regulators issue recall for products tied to C&C Manufacturing, LLC
For Missouri marijuana, the last two weeks have been daunting.
In what looks to be an extension of the action that started with an administrative hold last week, the Missouri Division of Cannabis Regulation (DCR) has issued a recall for marijuana thousands of products from dozens of brands with material that originates at a comprehensive manufacturing licensee C&C Manufacturing, LLC, operating under the brand name GOAT in Missouri.
The recall was announced Wednesday, citing non-compliance with the state’s track-and-trace system, Metrc.
“The Missouri Division of Cannabis Regulation (DCR) issued a marijuana product recall today for marijuana products sold to dispensary and manufacturing facilities by comprehensive manufacturing licensee, C&C Manufacturing, LLC, MAN000105. Pursuant to 19 CSR 100-1.100(4)(P), DCR may issue a public notice of recall where marijuana product presents a potential threat to health and safety. No adverse reactions for this product have been reported to DCR at this time,” the release reads.
It continues, “The recalled marijuana products were not compliantly tracked in the statewide track-and-trace system called Metrc as mandated by 19 CSR 100-1. Therefore, DCR cannot verify compliance with health and safety requirements.”
According to DCR, the primary reason for the recall is the inability to verify the compliance of the products with health and safety standards due to tracking issues. The products failed to meet the requirements set forth in 19 CSR 100-1.
The full list of recalled products can be found on the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services website at health.mo.gov/safety/cannabis/recalls.php.
