High Scores: The Cannabis Cult Connoisseur Pack – Rosin Edition
Of all the tasks I’ve been given in the cannabis industry, I have the most fun judging and reviewing.
There is something captivating about sampling multiple cultivars in various forms and assessing their value against each other. I believe this is one of the most fun processes cultivators and extractors alike go through.
The Cannabis Cult is back with another competition, the Connoisseur Pack- Rosin Edition!
The product being judged is live hash rosin.
This, as you all may know, is the Creme de la Creme of concentrate products. First cut off the stem and frozen right after harvest, then made into bubble hash, dried, and pressed with a rosin press. This product is a terpy solventless delight.
Below, you will find our scoring and rating followed by the rating card from The Cannabis Cult’s public scoring.
CP1 Fruit Gusherz | Vivid
I opened up the CP1 box and jar to find a perfect spherical ball placed in the middle of it. It was White in color and smelled like old-school Kush. It had a great consistency, like a badder, I would love to see a small terp layer but exceptional nonetheless. There was no crackle of excess water when it hit the nail. As I inhaled, I absorbed piney and lemony terps with tons of fuel on the end. The exhale was just as delightful carrying that fuelly aftertaste for several seconds. I was transported to StonedVille immediately and the effect lasted for a bit longer than normal. I was couch-locked with the wah wahs for 5 minutes or so. Felt like I had my bell rung. Would recommend it to people looking for help with pain because I forgot my name, let alone whatever pain I was in. I will purchase this product whenever I see it in stock.

CP 2 Papaya | Local
The next sample was CP2, Papaya by Local, and after the first tester, I was very optimistic. It didn’t disappoint, I opened the container to see a white rosin layer at the bottom of the jar. The smell was otherworldly with a jam or juice flavor I had never smelled before. The product broke apart into pieces when my dabber entered the container, akin to a dryer wax product or crumble. I tend to look for a wetter product, but the smell more than made up for the lack of a terp layer as I could tell the flavor would be amazing. There was no crackle on this sample either but that would be expected for a competition product. As I inhaled, the taste of berries and fruit hit my mouth with a delightful fruity exhale. This product hit hard, and had me stunned for a couple minutes, unlike a lot of other fruity strains. I was pretty dialed-in after smoking it, ready to get some work done, with a smile on my face. This was unique, heavy hitting, and super terpy, I would highly recommend!

CP 3 Mississippi Nights | VIBE
The Final sample, CP3, was my early favorite. When I opened it up, funk hit me in the face and filled the room. This is the kind of product I would reach for every time it is available. It has a terp made popular with GMO, this strain came straight out of Funkytown. This was the wettest of them all, still a badder in form. It was eggshell in color. As I started to inhale, those delicious garlic and gas terps filled my mouth with some hints of sweetness on the back end, a skunky desirable, and delicious flavor. The exhale was sweet and it was almost like the flavor washed over you hitting you in the face. The potency was great, I sat silent for what seemed like hours (3-5 mins) and thought about nothing, as it was a great anxiety reliever for me. I loved this product, it is absolutely top-tier!

After trying them all, it is a very close race. If I had to choose a winner, this would be on preference alone, I’d choose CP1, Fruit Gusherz by Vivid, because of the crushing potency and billowing flavor.
All of the offerings were fantastic and each hashmaker should be very proud. These are some of the best rosin products on the market!
