Missouri’s medical marijuana sales top $160 million in first year of retail
Missouri continues to see sales climb charting +$20 million in retail sales for 4th consecutive month
Missouri’s medical marijuana dispensaries brought in $24.17 million in October, according to data released by the Department of Health and Senior Services. This marks the fourth consecutive month of +$20 million retail revenues and the sixth straight month of retail revenue growth.
Missouri’s program has seen stady growth since an inexplicable stumble in April. Since May revenues have risen from $15million monthly to over $24 million monthly.
In one year of cumulative sales, Missouri’s medical marijuana market brought in over $160.22 million in revenue from dispensary sales which began on October 17, 2020.
2021 revenues alone total $154.89 million. sales alone make up announced monthly reporting of retail sales numbers for the medical marijuana program for September, on October 1.
October sales mark the sixth consecutive month of record-breaking sales.
Missouri approved the operation of 23 dispensaries, 10 manufacturers, and 5 cultivators from October 1 to November 5. Now boasting 174 dispensaries approved to operate, the state is quickly becoming one of the largest markets for retail in the country.
