Key takeaways from DHSS facility application video tutorials
Facility applications for cultivation, manufacturing, dispensary, and testing facilities will be accepted beginning August 3, 2019, at 12:00 a.m. until 11:59 p.m. August 17, 2019. The Department of Health and Senior Services Medical Marijuana Division released four video tutorials to help facility license applicants through Missouri’s first application period.
1. Download Chrome
Chrome, a web browser developed by Google, is specifically recommended by DHSS for use during the submission process.
2. Stay organized
There is a difference between multiple accounts and multiple applications. The videos explain that each ownership group will need an account and then each facility application will be its own application. Those entering applications for multiple ownership groups would use more than one account.
3. Filenames matter
Applicants must choose a Facility Application Identifier, which will be used on the top of all worksheets. Each application will have a unique identifier. So, those applying for 3 licenses would need 3 unique Facility Application Identifier numbers.
Each Facility Application Identifier number will have 18 worksheets assigned to it – worksheets 1-17, and worksheet 40 for dispensaries.
The videos use the example of “ABCD1234.”
Worksheet 1 – “WS01_ ABCD1234_Redacted”
Worksheet 2 – “WS02_ ABCD1234_Redacted”
Worksheets will not be renamed before scoring.
Tutorial 2 is focused completely on the worksheet process.
4. Files matter
Files can be zipped, but cannot be larger than 10 MB. PDFs are recommended to be uploaded.
5. Payment
JetPay is contracted by the State to accept application fees. They accept cards or ACH.
6. Missing data
If there is information missing from the application, DHSS will inform the applicant and the applicant will have 7 days to address whatever is the issue. Nothing says the resubmission must be before August 17.
7. Applicants and consultants should all watch the videos
Application consultants are urging all facility license applicants to watch all the videos, which total around 20 minutes of playtime. Though it’s only 20 minutes, each video is packed full of information.
