Kansas City will be the destination for the cannabis industry Monday and Tuesday, as Midwest Canna Expos plans two must-attend events – a fundraiser Monday evening and an educational seminar Tuesday.

The Missouri CannaRegulations & Compliance Seminar is set this week for Tuesday, June 25 – and those on the fence can get their tickets, including lunch, for just $99.
The cannabis industry education seminar, taking place at the KCI Expo Center, is offering tracks for facilities and caregivers/home grow (or both). The seminar is organized by Midwest Canna Expos – the same company that brought Missouri the successful MoCannBizCon2019.
Sponsored by Clovr Cannabis, BlueKeyCBD, and Amendment 2 Consultants, the educational content will focus on the recently released rules and regulations for the industry. Compliance and banking will also be addressed.
Two keynote speakers for #MCRC2019 are set for the event: DHSS Medical Marijuana Division Director Lyndall Fraker will speak in the morning and MJ Freeway co-founder Mark Goldfogel will discuss banking in the afternoon.
The Industry Operator Track is designed for those applying for a facility license or work in facility management. Sessions on the Industry Operator Track include License Applications from Medicine Man Technologies and Compliance from Mark Slaugh of iComply.
The Caregiver/Patient Grower Track is designed for those wanting to be registered caregivers or patients who want to cultivate their own medicine. On the Caregiver/Patient Grower Track, George Nolen from MOGreens Wellness will talk Genetics and Immaculate Conception and Josh Loftis from Home Grow Solutions Missouri LLC will talk about a compliant buildout for caregivers.
A portion of the profits of the seminar will benefit New Approach Missouri and Ayden’s Alliance.
Ayden’s Alliance is a patient advocacy organization focused on helping low income and special needs families afford medical expenses, providing financial assistance for treatment, ranging from doctor visits to the patient care card fee.
Speaking of Ayden’s Alliance, a fundraiser is planned for the organization Monday night at The Guild. The Industry SuperHero MeetUp, also organized by Midwest Canna Expos, is sponsored by Med Mother, Clovr Cannabis, Hari Om hemp, Sarcoxie Nursery, MCIA, Fresh Green Dispensaries, Show Me Canna, Missouri Hemp Co., and CAMP Cannabis.
Tickets for the event start at $25 and include drink tickets and light appetizers for the fundraiser which is sure to be an amazing industry networking event. There will also be raffles and door prizes. This event does not require a conference pass to attend – everyone is welcome.
The event is from 7:00-9:00 p.m. at 1621 Locust St. Proceeds will go to Ayden’s Alliance.
Greenway Magazine will see you there!
