Proposed rules for Industrial Hemp Pilot Program available for comment through Feb. 1

The Missouri Department of Agriculture is reminding those interested in Missouri’s Industrial Hemp Pilot Program there are five days remaining to review and comment on the proposed rules put forth by the Department.

Passed by the General Assembly in 2018, HB 2034 exempted industrial hemp from the definition of marijuana and the list of controlled substances within the state of Missouri, and directed the Department to create the Industrial Hemp Pilot Program.

The Department’s proposed rules were published in the Missouri Register and made available for public comment on Jan. 2, 2019. Citizens may view the rules and leave a comment online at Agriculture.Mo.Gov/proposed-rules/.
